Default Consumer Reports rates waxes and NXT is at the bottom

Consumer Reports rates waxes and NXT is at the bottom and this is the current wax I use, guess it is time to switch. Rejex or a new wax like top rated Black Magic Wet Shine or Turtle Carnubauba Wax T-6. Decisions, decisions, decisions

Why would you switch just because they don't like it? They don't like a lot of good things, but that's no reason to take their word for it. If YOU like NXT, then keep using it.

I recently went back to NXT because I like how easy it is to buff off, I love how well it makes my black finish shine, and how well it hides the swirl marks. Sure, it only lasts a week or two, but I can put a coat on my car in under 45min, so I don't mind doing it often if it gives me the results I desire.

One of the people doing the rating must be ex military. We used to use Nu Finish on the tile floors when we were in school. Gave a great shine. We also used to use pledge, but the inspectors would always slip and break their butt on the floor....

You must have a Japanese car then.

If I believed everything CR said, I wouldn't have bought a vette . I own and have owned both Japanese and American cars, actually # of problems are more with the Odysey than the vette. CR does have some valid evaluations, just some are skewed when based on consumers reviews of their automobiles. I trust their wax comparisons. It is ashame they did not test Rejex. I need a super sealant to hold my roof together

If you like NXT then keep using NXT. CR is for the birds.

Its the durabilty that put NXT at the bottom and who wants to wax their car every week. I rather drive it then clean it

I don't care what CR or GURU or any other test say I will form my own opinion on what to use. I would suggest you do the same.

The Black Magic Wet Shine does do a great job. I never thought of trying it until I read CR. You may not be able to trust them on everything but it looks like they were right about the wax.

yep as stated above - most important to stay with what you like.
NXT is ok - I have my reasons for preferring Zaino.
But you should never change something you like just because of a magazine article (at least for detailing - I might feel differently about an article about a certain line of brake pads failing and killing people !). Trust your hands and your eyes, not letters on a page.

Perhaps CR should just stick with appliances, mixers, and stereos/electronics?
