Default REJEX on top of Mequires NXT ????

I have my Torch Red 99 waxed with NXT - will I get an enhanced shine if i put REJEX on top of it. Also is there any problem if I do this??
Thanks...

Sealants typically bond best to a bare surface.

Your best bet is to go the other way around. A sealant topped with a carnuba.

I think NXT is one of the highest shine sealents out there (and from experince is atleast equal to rejex in terms of depth and gloss). Rejex seems to last longer, but I honestly don't think your going to notice any difference between the two....

^^^ NXT is full of oils.... its a 1 week wax

Rejex is a sealant and people have been getting great durability out of it..

First of all, your wrong about it lasting a week

Second of all, it is because the high oil content that I say it will atleast have a shine comparable to Rejex, if not better

OK... 2 weeks Max.... I tested it out on a 95 sebring clayed and applied NXT after 10-12 days the rain and elements completely eliminated NXT...

do some research on NXT in this forum and you'll see I'm not the only one saying what I'm saying....

However, I used NXT on my daily driver with a top coat of a carnuba and it seemed to last along with the shine. Just my .02.

How did you notice that it was completely gone?

Uh, oh...here comes the Meguiar's, "beading isn't an indicator - it's supposed to stop beading and start sheeting, but it's still protecting - rub it with a towel, etc."

I would. Remember preparation is the key. Apply the RejeX let it cure for 12 hours, and apply some more.

I agree that NXT only last two weeks. I was using it for a while on my black 98, and it's a daily driver and after two weeks the shine was noticably less, and the swirl marks returned. The car is parked outside overnight at home, but during the day I've got underground parking here at work (so the car rarely sits outside in the hot sun)

And it made the black paint look greasy in the bright sun (obviously because of all the oils in it)

Well if the shine was gone, that would be a problem with you and not the product. If paint is properly prepared, it will shine without wax/sealent.

FIDO knows how to properly prep a surface - he has discussed it here before.

There's certainly no need to accuse him of doing something wrong because NXT's additional appearance (oils, etc.) doesn't last.

Seems like you have a problem today.

Or it could just be that the protection is gone and dirt is now sticking to the finish effecting its ability to shine. I only got 1 or 2 weeks max out of NXT also.

Lol.. thanks Zane...

TH0000001 I am one of the biggest advocates on paint preparation and I did mention that I 'CLAYED' before I applied NXT.....

Now it seems to me like you just bought a case of NXT on Sale and you're all pissed off because its too late to return it!!
