I have used this for years and when used properly it does not overshine or sling... I find it the best over any other product...and I have tried them all...
IMO of course

I personally don't care for any tire dressing.

After spraying, I wait a minute then wipe the tire with a cloth to remove or redistribute any excess. It leaves my tires with a dark black semi-gloss finish.

Try the Zaino product. Soft natural sheen, no flinging and best of all it lasts LINK

I agree. Zaino shines and does not sling.

Default Rubber does not shine...

So no, I don't use any dressing...I'll leave that to the 15 minute car washes.....

I use a product call CoverAll. Comes in a bright blue can. Goes on similar to Stoner's More Shine Less Time but gives a high gloss finish. I like it because it sprays on fairly evenly. The only place that sells it that I can find is O'Reilly's auto parts.

I've used a few brands but Zaino is the best so far. Remember, though, even Zaino will fling off if you put too much on. Our tires have a lot of grooves and crevasses. If you fill them up it takes a long time to fully dry, thus any product will fling if you drive off too soon.

I apply it with a piece of sponge so I do not get it on my wheels for brake dust to stick too.

A detail of any kind is not complete without dressing the tires. There are *tons* of dressings that don't sling or run, and they're available in a variety of appearances from no shine to very high shine. Applying with a tire swipe is also very helpful.

I don't use any at all. Scrub my tires with WD40 wipe excess off and let dry. Nice clean black finish.

I agree, it really urks me when I see a nicely detailed car and they skipped the tires. Some other nice dressings that do not sling are VRT and 303.

I've started using Meguiar's Hot Shine. I apply it with a sponge and let it dry. No flinging and the tires nice; black and dark with a little sheen.

I have used DuPont Tire Shine. I spray it on the tires and let it do its thing. I then start on my wheels, wash and wax my car, and by the time I'm done, the tires are good with no lingering spray anywhere.
After a week, the tires still look healthy. I've used Armor-All Foam Tire stuff, but it's too shny for my taste, slings alot and doesn't last as long.
You can dramatically reduce the slinging action if you apply any tire cleaner with a sponge, and carefully inspect your work.

yes, there are many good products that don't sling.
Both are great. Zaino is the more subtle product. Meguiars a more dramatic high gloss.

Never heard of that one before. Wouldn't WD40 eat into your tires? I have used WD40 to remove glue from metal surfaces, but never to dress anything made of rubber.
How long have you been doing this?
