Default Zanio and Microfiber?

Has anybody tried this combo.?

I know the manufacture recomends cotton, is there a real big difference?

It seems to me that the microfiber I have seen is much softer than most cotton towels.

Just curious!

make sure you use the better micro fiber towels though. Not the sams club. But the ones from autogeek. The cheap ones will scratch as I found out

Zane,

Do you have a specific brand that you use ? I know all microfibers are NOT created equal.

I have towels from *many* different suppliers - Pak Shak, Excel Detail, DF, Auto Fiber, Fiber Works, etc. Again, it's a personal preference type decision between brands (many are the same or similar).

The #314 cotton applicators from Zaino fall apart after awhile or a few washings.

I use only the DFTowel microfiber towels. They are the best microfiber I've ever seen.

It's 100% cotton, if washed in a washing machine you should use a bag for delicates, they will last much longer washed this way, most people wash them by hand to make them last longer.

You can use microfiber, just be careful, many microfibers will scratch your finish over time, do this test, take a CD like you get in the mail from AOL, rub your microfiber on the "info" side of the CD for 10-15 seconds, then hold it up to the light, if you see scratch marks it will probably scratch your finish, with towels like that use them on your glass only.

This is what I do also, it definitely helps.

I recently picked up one of those DFtowel applicators and they seem to work pretty good and are washable.

I have tried MF applicators but I did not like them at all, they are too grabby and do not glide over the paint.

I have also made some of my own with a good towel and the foam out of an old Zaino applicator. Works OK but I still seem to like the real Zaino applicators the best.

I use MF towels with zaino and have great results. They are not recommended on the website because of the broad quality range of the product. There are great ones, good ones, and complete garbage. Sometimes it is hard to tell what you have before it is too late! You can't go wrong with cotton, but you also can't go wrong with a quality MF towels. Just do your homework.

I like the DF towels the best as to me they are the best of both worlds, COTTON AND MICROFIBER. DF ARE 100% COTTON....
