Default cracks in C-6 vert tonneau

cracks in C_6 vert toneau cover
I bought a siver 06 C-6 about 1 month ago. Since I live in the Northeast, this weekend was the first time I could give it its "Baptism". When I put down the top to dry the tonneau cover, there was a crack in the paint and the fiberglass behind the passenger seat. It is at the bottom edge of the cover. I have a panel behind the seats which houses the speakers for the nav/radio. and it appears that the top was damaged by being forced down onto the fiberglass partition. There is a similar bit of damage in the same spot on the driver's side, but it has not broken the cover or the paint. both of these areas have a chip out of the fiberglass on the back side of the cover the one on the passenger side is directly behind the crack.
Anyone else have this problem? I bought the car from Kerbeck and it is a 3 hour drive for me to go there. I am going to take it to the dealer in my town for them to look at it. How would i find out if theere is a service bulletin out for this problem?
Thanks
