Default Rock chips on rocker pnls

I asked this in C5 general, but will ask again here. Has anyone used
a small airbrush to repair rock chips in the paint on the lower rocker pnls? Is it something that would work or is it just a bad idea on my
part.

The car is Mag Red, so the paint is a 2 part, base coat/top coat.

Thanks in advance for the opinions.

How bad is it? I put some 3m X-Pel film on my ww's at about 2k miles and it seemed to hide the little bit of road rash that I already had and will definetly prevent any further chips. If it is already pretty bad you may be out of luck and a repaint your only option.

My thought was to repair and then place Xpel over top to
keep it from reoccuring. The wounds are not to large, but are
large enough that using touchup paint ( vette essentials) w/ a
brush would look even worse than the orig problem.

I had the same problem and I had mine repainted.
Repaint it's a Corvette not a Mustang.

If it was a cheap ass Mustang you wouldn't think anything about a few rock chips. A Corvette I would expect to be maintained to a much higher level but to some it is just another car.

I thought that was pretty funny !
and kind of have to agree.
best to put something on the rockers to protect them in the first place. I'm pretty happy with Cleartastic.
Once the damage is there, you just have to find the point where you can't stand to look at it anymore, then repaint.
