Zaino question
Can you buy Zaino in retail stores or only order it? Also, what product of theirs do you recommend for removing swirl marks? I think the previous owner of my car dried it with steel wool or something...
Thanks

As far as I know you can order it from Zaino, or I know Ecklers carries Zaino as well. Ecklers is a Corvette speciality catalog. Their Fusion is a descent product for removing swirls. I use Zaino on mine and I love the results.

yes - definitely order from http://www.zainostore.com Just order the full kit ( the less expensive one) and add a bottle of Z8 - you'll definitly want to use that.
Try Zaino-PC fusion for your swirlmarks, with a porter-cable 7424 and an orange light cutting pad. If you really have severe swirls, or more severe scratches that won't come out with that regimen, then try any one of a few other ideas
just some other ideas for you.
And of course after you clay and polish to the best surface you can get, put 3 coats of Z5 on. The z5 will help to hide scratches, but has only a very mild effect. Not the real "filler" effect that a carnauba wax would.
Zaino is a great choice -- good luck !

- move up to a wool buffing pad - for experienced users - be careful
- move up to a true rotary buffer like a makita
- try Menzerna Intensive polish or 3M #39002
just some other ideas for you.

If you have a Porter Cable I would use Zaino Fusion (ZPC) with a white foam polishing pad and your speed set at 4.5 to 5.5. If that does not remove your swirls I would then step up to an orange pad and Fusion or a Rotary. You can also do it by hand but it will be a little more work. Order your Zaino from www.zainostore.com or Ecklers.
