I also have the PC with a good variety of pads, about 100 mf towels, various cotton and foam applicators, brushes, mitts, halogen spot lights, Craftsman 5 hp 5 gal vac, etc.
I'm going to add a steamer and rotary to the mix soon.
Yeah, you can use the steamer for most everything inside the car (plastics, vinyls, rubber/seals, jambs, carpets, etc.), and you can use it for the exterior, too (wheels, tires, engine bay, etc.). It also cleans many things around the house.
Yes, I am referring to a rotary buffer. I am deciding between the Fein and the Metabo. Both are very light, portable, and very well made (but not cheap).
zane.
when are you getting the steamer? i like that one for being small, it is priced really cheap. the one i saw was over a 1000. which i am not willing to spend. it was the kind that fits in back of a van. how do you think the costco one will work on carpet? i bet it would clean stains up real good. let me know what you think of it.
i never heard of a fein, have to google that one. i have read about metabo. not cheap goes with you get what you pay for...well sometimes. when it comes to machines and equipment i like to buy stuff that works and will last.
this was about a year or so ago, collection now has more than doubled. Wife jokes how do we fit two cars next to all the detailing items.

glad you said pic is a yr old, i was going to dog you for the empty spots on that shelf...
now which one of those bottles do you use on leather? i have heard that there is a product that actually works and smells like leather, or am i dreaming? i like to have plenty of chemicals to make the job shiney and clean but not fond of the chemical smell....

My leather favorite is Connolly and Leathrique. Both are great with no heavy smell, completely natural. Pinnacles All-In-One Leather Cleaner/conditioner works well and has a slightly heavier new leather smell, not heavy on chemical either but is much glossier.

do you also have a shelf full of detailing supplies?
I just used the menzerna products to do the wifes BMW. I had a hard time getting the deep water spots out, so I used some other 3m stuff for that. I have not used the 303 on the carpets yet.
I need to get a section of the shelf organized. I do keep most of the supplies inside the laundry room.
I use an assortment of cleaners etc. Zaino is my only product for exterior finishes. Before ZPC/Fusion, I used to go over the finish with Meguiars paint cleaner, or body scrub. Now that ZPC is around(for slightly dull finishes) I can use Zaino exclusively.

what do you use the clear vinegar for?

Zane,
Have you taken a look at this steamer ? I purchased one a few months back and it works pretty well.

you must be talking about Zaino Z9 and Z10. It is the best leather product I have ever used. I even use it on my couch and it makes the whole house smell awesome, just like leather.
