Default Wax Poll: am I the only Vette owner that,,,

uses Mothers car care products?
I'm tempted to try Zaino, but have tons of Mothers car care products.
I have a bum shoulder,(needs surgery), but over last weekend, I attempted to put on 3 coats of Mothers: 1st phase wax cleanser, then
phase 2 sealer and swirl remover, and then 3rd phase Carnuba, and of course washed and detailed tires first. Well I got all of the 1st coat of wax cleanser on it, (looks much better than when i first got my Vette last month), but then did the top (coupe), and hatch back with phase 2 (sealer and swirl remover), and then put on the phase3 Carnuba wax. wax on wax off by hand as I didn't trust my buffer and it looks pretty good, but man I'm sore. I hope to finnish by end of week, and then I'll take some pictures to post. But, just curious to know if any members use Mothers or do all use Zaino??

I use Zaino and it also takes alot of time to apply properly. Just did the front bumper area with Mcguires NXT and am impressed with the ease of application and the protection it offers. May change to NXT for good!!

I've used mothers but not on the vette. Have to tell you I use meguiars NXT tech wax on the vette and it is the easiest wax I have ever used. Haven't tried Zaino, but there is no comparison between mothers and meguiars imo. My car is black which is most difficult colour to care for and I can wax the whole car in about an hour with little difficulty. Spend the extra $ it's well worth it.

Now the question is. . .does the Mother's last longer than the NXT??? There have been talk of the NXT not lasting very long. I was using NXT but switched to Mother's Carnuba this weekend and it looks great.

Mothers is all I use, save one caveat. I use Rejex on the front bumper, Minnesota in the summer, the bugs are unbelievable. With Mothers, mirror finish.

A Porsche owner was whooing about the finish at a gas station, wanted to know what I used. Buddy of mine bought a Thunderbird, (no flames), asked what to use, I let him know about all the products mentioned on this site. He has become a Mothers users.

Don't know if it makes a difference but my 98 vert is white and I couldn't be happier with the Mothers products.

thanks .. mothers Synwax was easy on, easy off too.

the only sloppy part i thought, was putting the wax on the applicator. the bottle doesnt dispense well (like the NXT bottle) and goes all over the place if your not careful

Default Zaino ROCKS...

Sounds like Mothers is alot more work than Zaino, I just Zaino'd my vette in 20 minutes and I even have a torn meniscus (bum knee) right now. I would do some reading in Car Care... I think you will find the majority use Zaino.

I use the stuff from http://www.poorboysworld.com on all 4 of the family cars. (91 Acura, 94 Acura, 04 Acura, 98 Vette) I love the deep, wet shine I get. I say use what you like.

Haven't used the Mother's wax on the car, but have used some of their other products. Have been pleased with them.

The NXT line is great.

My favorite is Meguiars, and easy as 1-2-3.

These topics are best suited for the Car Care Products section of the Forum. You can find discussion on all types of car care products products there. Good luck.
