Default My Black C6 Arrives ... Detailing Begins

Got a call this past Wednesday that the car arrived, but could not pickup until Saturday due to scheduling conflicts. Got to the dealer plenty early to pickup car, and off for a quick wash and then to tint. (I dont let them touch it, so much so, that this time they didnt even take any of the plastic off the interior)

Once the tint was done and the sun went down enough to rewash the car , the process began.

1. Wash --- DP's Car Wash
2. Clay --- Pinnacles Poly Clay with Pinnacles Clay Lubricant
3. Drying --- Cobra Waffle Weave and Leaf Blower
4. Polish --- Optimum Polish with a Grey Finishing Pad
5. Wipe Down --- Alcohol/Water wipe to assure finish sealant compliant
6. Four Star UPP --- Two coats on the car, one extra on the tops
7. Four Star Gloss Enhancer --- Final Wipe down this morning
8. Wheels --- DP Wheel Glaze
9. Tires --- Poorboys Bright and Bold Dressing

will probably add a level of Pinnacle Souveran in the coming days. But after 10 years without a black ride, and more than 90 days without a detailing session, it seemed like I am getting older than I thought I was.

COMING SOON :Corsa Exhaust, Halltech Intake, and Iforged Swifts

EXCELLENT job ! wow that looks pretty.
and thanks for posting your entire regimen -- helps us new guys to learn

I've only applied DP wheel glaze once so far, about 2 weeks ago, and holding up GREAT so far -- just hosed off wheels last weekend and I think the dirt did just slide off. So far I think the wheel glaze is a good idea.

thank you , I truly miss the look of the C5. Those gorgeous hips and nice big butt, but there truly is a big difference in fit/finish and low end grunt. Car feels more solid, and quieter, and is actually smaller than the C5. Parked next to one and could not believe it, as I had never realized the difference.

18% all around, slightly illegal in these parts. I think 35% fronts are maximums currently.

Beautiful job on the paint ... but you killed it with the tints, but different strokes for different folks right?
