Default Is Zaino all that?

I was standing in Autozone yesterday, reading the back of one of the Maguire's cleaners; step 1 of a 3 step process. This is similar to what I've read about Zaino's system. I'm not into paying more for basically the same product with a different packaging (which I believe is generally the case with many products). Is Zaino truly different and better in your opinion? Thanks for the input!

It's completely different than Meguire's. Zaino is a polymer based product, not carnuba. I love it, yes, it is all that. However, it does require a lot of time to do it right when you first start. I wouldn't use anything else.

I've used it once and haven't since for one reason: it just doesn't last long at all. That wonderful unmatched shine only lasts for a couple of washes and that's it. I've been using pinnacle wax products now for more than two years. The shine and quality of their product is equal to the zaino, and the shine lasts much much longer - many have agreed on other forums.

Thats my two cents.

It takes a lot more than one use. I have been putting it on my Acura and my Vette for 2 years now. My Acura which is 2 years old now has been sitting outside 24/7 since I bought it. I only need to Zaino it every 3-4 months...if that. I was VERY skeptical when I first got Zaino (surprise gift from the wife ) but honestly it has performed MUCH better than I expected.

I will say this...the first few times I put it on, I hated it. Everything was splotchy looking, and it really was hard to get off. After the first few treatments, it's been great!

Zaino my Trailblazer and it lasts months with one coat.

I have over 12 coats on the Vette, That will last for a very long time.

Zaino lasts alot longer than carnuba based waxes by far. Two coats will last a very long time, alot longer than 2 coats of carnuba. Zaino also does not "yellow" over time like carnuba does.

I do seem to go thru alot of Zaino Product trying to keep my Black C6 Show ready.

It is alot of work!

I spend so much time detailing it to get that just right look that I don't want to drive and get it dirty.

I have to agree that the shine doesn't seem to last long.

Always looking for something better & less time consuming.

If it's a lot of work, you aren't using it correctly.

You're certainly in a minority with that opinion. For most, it's one of the longest lasting products on the market.

What is your maintenance routine while using it?

Yes I would have to agree if the Zaino is a lot of work your not doing it right, I used Pinnacle Soverian (sp?) for years, loved the shine on my black ImpalaSS but it didnt last, a couple of washes with their car wash soap and it was trashed. Ive been using Z1 Z2 and Z6 on my Vette and love it.

Zaino is all that and more.

Try some, you'll like it very much. It isn't JUST one product...but that is ok. Shine, durability and ease of use come with Zaino.

SeeFiveOhFun - just for clarification, Zaino is developed and produced by Zaino, not a chemical manufacturer/blender. It is unique to itself.

IMO, I think Zaino is all that on darker color cars. On lighter color cars I think the difference in minimal.

Comparing Zaino to Meguiars is like comparing Corvette to the Chevette with Zaino being the Corvette of course.

I use Klasse and it is NOT a lot of work. Goes on and off pretty easily and looks awesome.

I use both All in One followed up by Sealant.

Alot of people like AIO followed by Zaino. I prefer to use Fusion for my Zaino prep work.
I found that Klasse's sealant sg was a real pain to apply and remove and left streaks but liked AIO and even use it as a prep for my wheels sometimes before applying Zaino.

I always hear that Zaino lasts longer. Would you be extending it's life if you used the Zaino car wash as well? I typically try to match my waxes and car washes as I assume they are formulated to work together and not destroy one another. Is this correct?

This is correct, especially with the Zaino system.

The car wash (Z7), the QD (Z6), and the spray sealant (Z8) will greatly extend the durability of the sealant.
