A neighbor of ours always commented on how nice our cars always look. I told him it was due to the Zaino products we use.
Well he bought a new black truck and wanted to go the Zaino route.
I walked him through all the steps and was with him through the Dawn, Clay Bar, Dawn cleaning process.
I helped him with the mixing of the accelerant and the first two coats of swirl mark remover with a coat of Z8 in between each. The truck was looking fantastic at this point, the paint looked a mile deep.
I told him how to put on the show car finish and he said he could handle the rest of the job.
Yesterday was a very humid day, I told him he should pull it in the air conditioned garage and/or extend the drying time. Well, he did neither and now has two coats of show car finish with Z8 in between that look like it was painted on. It is full of streaks from the applicator, not scratches, streaks of what look like uncured polish.
Not suggesting this but more so asking for my own info...if you get light streaks, as I have seen from a bit of over application, can you not just use the Z-6/Z-8 on it? Would this not be a good solution if it was over applied to the ENTIRE car?

No, you are better off using water/a damp towel as you do not want to add any more product to the surface, especially not Z8. Streaks usually occur when applied to heavy or when people get carried away with to many coats at once.
