First and foremost...the Vette is Zaino'd (so don't fear). Beyond the Vette, I do like to try other product lines for friends and family members cars which I detail
My next vehicle is my fathers Black Ford F-150. The paint is "slightly" oxidized with the typical hairline scratches, which you commonly see in black. I would like to lightly polish and then seal/wax. As a final product, I would like to achieve a "dark black" finish
The product I was first considering was Menzerna, which I know is quality. Lately though, I've been reading quite a bit about "Four Star" and "Poorboy's" Products. For those who have tried any of these three, how do you compare these products; and which do you prefer? (for polishing / protecting abilities).
Haven't tried Four Star yet, but I have some samples of Turbo Wax which is supposed to very similar or the same as Four Star. UPP is supposed to be *very* slick, but I understand that to be from oils. A good deal of people like it...I just don't know how long it lasts.
I've used several Poorboy's products (SSR 2.5 is one of my favorites), and they all work pretty well. User friendly, etc. Again, durability won't be like Zaino, but they may offer you different attributes.
A combo that I like to use is Poorboy's SSR 2.5 with a polishing pad, followed by Klasse AIO with a polishing pad. Then waxed/sealed with your choice.
I like Poorboys polishes (2.5 and 1) but found that both PB and 4* sealants fell short of Zaino IMHO, but with that being said they are not bad products and are light years ahead of NXT. Menzerna also makes a nice line of polishes and their FMJ sealant is very similiar to the PB and 4* sealants as far as looks and durability.
Poorboys makes some of the best polishes available, and some of their waxes (blue) and sealants (EXP) are known to produce great results right out of the bottle, even in direct sunlight. http://www.autogeek.net/poorboysworld.html
Four Star really is the hidden gem in poly based sealants. It is a final step product that needs no mixing , other than a shake or two, and provides a super glossy finish with the slickest feeling that lasts for several weeks to a couple of months. Layering is quick and easy, I got three done in quick session.
So darn easy to use, it should be consistently the choice for detailers that get paid as they are done quickly, and it looks good for a long time to come. http://www.autogeek.net/plcarcapr.html
Other lines I would consider that mimic those above, and do not cost an arm and a leg. Optimum polish , and Wolfgang Sealant. While Wolfgang mimics carnuba and not as bright, they both are super easy to use with great results every time. DP's Shield Shine is not to far behind either.

I have tried many different polishes and waxes, the last ones were 4 Star and it is the best I have found so far. The polish used with white pads and a PC removed swirl marks that 3M products didn't touch.
The sealant is by far the best I have ever used. It leaves the car looking great and is extremely slick; if that isn't enough, it's also the easiest to apply and remove. I can't comment on how long it lasts since I wax frequently and keep the car covered in the garage. I also used the detailing spray but found that that it's very expensive since I use it so often. I now just use a cheap quick detailer from a local auto store.

Killrwheels is being very conservative with couple months on UUP. My wife’s car was done the first week of May using polish and 2 coats of UUP. Shortly after that it was caught in a hail storm and every panel on the entire car was dented and will be repainted this fall. Since then all she has done is run it though the automatic carwash every couple weeks and the car stays outside 24/7. Nothing else has been done to the car at it is still has most of its slickness and still shines.
DP's Shield Shine spray last about 2 months before it starts degrading on my SUV but that is not bad for something you spray on and wipe off. My SUV spends 24/7 outside and is washed about every two weeks.
