Default Fusion a new product from Zaino boys...

Z-PC Fusion

This is a neat new product. Anyone try it yet?

Hmmm read the product info sounds like a nice addition to the product line. I wonder if it is less or more aggessive then 3M SMR? Have to send a message to Sal.

It has a bit more bite than 3M SMR initially, but it finishes out nicer due to the diminishing abrasives.

(This is my opinion ONLY )

I dont' like 3M SMR. The only reason why is because it has oils and fillers so you aren't sure if you are actually taking out the swirls or fine scratches. You need to remove those compounds to see if the swirls and fine scratches are actually removed.

With this being said, I've tried Zaino ZPC and found the results very amazing. Zaino claims to not use any fillers or oils. Also, FI-2 is a great product to use as well. Before Zaino came out with an abrasive I used that for the longest time to take out my deep swirls and fine scratches. Then I would follow up with Z-5 and Z-2.

I love the ZPC and it smells like watermelon

I'm pretty biost though. I've grown to deal with Sal's New Jersey attitude and I've grown to love his products.

Plenty of high quality products out on the market. You just have to find what system works best for you.

I know what you mean about the 3M SMR. I recently PC-DA'd mine with SMR and didn't use the alcohol wipe to check. The other evening when I was applying a coat of Z5/ZFX I noticed I still have some swirl marks. So this sounds interesting.

I read where it can be machine applied. Wonder how it performs on a pad?

Default By incorporating this new swirl remover into the Zaino system it says to clay first

then apply this new product then top it off with Z-3 or Z-5.
When using this product do you have to use the ZFX with it?
Will claybar remove the 10 coats of Zaino already applied or for that matter will this swirl remover do the same thing?
I don't want to start over again....

It works even better with a machine.

Well then I guess I'll have to order me some. Obviously a PC DA uses more material then by hand. When I used the 3M product I would run a circle of material around the pad then work a couple square foot area. Is it used similarly? Will one bottle be enough to machine a corvette?

Right now I'm using the Z5/ZFX, Z6 and Z8. And of course the car wash.

hcvone,
I have a PC Polisher. What type of pad do you recommend(white-polishing)?

Default Best swirl remover/paint cleanser I have ever used

Yes, I have tried it and LOVE it, see my detailed evaluation below...

By Hand
I have used it by hand using a slightly dampened 100% cotton wash
cloth and with Viper Micro Fiber rag. It will leave the surface
(black paint) with a very very very slight haze that is only visible
under bright flourescents and/or halogen lighting and can be removed
by applying 1 coat of zaino (or probably any LSP/sealant) leaving the
surface crystal clear and swirl free.

By Porter Cable ROB
I have used it with both Meguiars yellow and white and yellow
(polishing and finishing) and Lake Country white and grey (polishing
and finishing) pads with a speed of anywhere between 3.5 and 5.5 with
excellent results and no visible signs of hazing or marring. Product
is ready to be wiped off (work completed) in a moderate amount of time
with very little dusting leaving the surface shinier than products
such as Poorboys 1 and Menzerna FPII or P085rd.

By Rotary
I have used it with both Meguiars white finishing pad and a 3m waffle
polishing pad at a speed of 2.5 Approx 1400 rpm's. It leave the
surface with a crystal clear shine and can be worked in a moderate to
little amount of time with residue easily being wiped off leaving the
surface ready to be zaino'd without any additional prep work. It even
seems to sling a little less than most products when used with rotary.
Will remove mild to moderate swirls and scratches.

I think this product is another winner product and am glad to
see it released. It definetly fills a void in the Zaino lineup and
eliminates the need for a dawn wash and ensures that the surface is
prepped properly before applying Zaino. I think this will result in
less customer issues and overall better customer satisfaction.

I've used a lot of Z products and am happy to see a product like this is being released from Zaino.

Some finishes, the Z2 or 5 doesn't cut the mustard and they need a pre-clean. I'm sure if the ZPC is as good as the 5 or 2, the finish will look amazing after using ZPC-2 or 5.
