Default Tinting in Ontario

Hey all, I'm about to have a tint job done on my Arctic White 16 Z51 with black emblem and carbon flash package. The tinting guy recommends I go 15. Any input, thoughts, suggestions? I live in GTA

Looks excellent. Are you happy with it? Any advice?

If you go with ceramic, 15% will look to be slightly lighter than if you go with the classic dye tint. I would suggest you go with the ceramic, much better product.

It depends on how much it matters for you to see when you're reversing. I don't know if your vehicle as a reverse sensor system or back up camera, but it's something to consider as the rear visibility is already low with our vehicles.

I've heard that the MTO is coming out with new rules regarding tint levels. From what I heard is that licenced MTO inspection stations will have to have a tint meter as part of their required safety inspection tools and will fail if lower than mandated. No one I know has been to one of the roll out secessions yet but are going soon. Just something to consider.
Besides that I have 15% on a couple of my vehicles and think its great, just a little dark for backing up at night.

I have hearing this one for a very long time and it has yet to happen. Are they going to grandfather everyone who can prove they had their vehicle tinted before the new law or ask hundreds of thousands to remove on their own dime or just fine them.

I had her done last week. Thanks for all of the suggestions. Here's hoping rumoured Ontario law changes remain just that - rumours.

Looks great! What % did you end up going with and where did you have it done?

Thanks! I'm happy with it. I went with 15%. Boyer Chev in Pickering auto body shop had their preferred guy come in and do it.

Good choice, looks awesome, I also did 15% all the way around, no regrets at that percentage.

Thanks! There's no denying that the C7 Stingray is an absolute work of art on wheels with a symphony in V8 Major resonating from all around her.

Can't stop looking at it...lol...and seems like its the same for everyone it comes near.
