fun field in carlisle
Hi
I have never been to Carlisle before and it will be our first time and we are looking forward in going. I just went to the website and they have 2 prices for the fun field. $150 is reserved and you have your spot the whole 4 days or $75 for first come first served. Never been there so what would everybody do. Just looking for suggestion because I never been there and real know nothing but what I have read
thanks

Drifting
Was down there a couple of years ago, got a new set of tires and then spent an afternoon at the park. It's huge, but you can do the whole thing in one good day. It really depends on what your looking for but there is a lot to see. Lots of vendors, some overpriced because it's a special event but you will see lots of things... some tunes were done right on the spot.
Saturday night, they close off downtown Carlisle and fill it with the special events cars and that was very nice...
HAte to say this... but you almost get sick of seeing Corvettes... there are literally thousands of vettes there.
We left on a Friday afternoon, got there around midnight. It's a good 2/3 of a day, depending on how you drive...
We took lots of back roads. Nav was a must....

There is lots pf parking inside the fair grounds - no need to get there super early. It's nice to park your car inside the fair grounds so you can bring along food and a cooler of beverages (beer is allowed). You walk the park, head back yo the car, eat and drink and relax and walk some more. you don't need a reserved spot.
