Corvette's at Carlisle 2016
Hi there, similar to *****'s post regarding the Woodward cruise, I'll be contacting the Sheraton in Harrisburg in the next week or two to setup a block of rooms for this years run down to Carlisle. I'll ask for a similar number of rooms as was done in the past, details will follow once everything is firmed up.
As in previous years, the block will include the Thursday night for anyone who goes down earlier, plus they usually offer the same rate for a few days before and after.
Dates are August 25 - 28 , 2016

I'm on it .. sent the initial e-mail last week ... received a note back indicating they were looking at it later that day. Nothing yet, sent a follow up yesterday, it's the usual drill.
It shouldn't be that much longer .......

Thanks Bruce appreciate you taking the lead on this for the Sheraton, decent room and lots of laughs in the parking lot at night.
As an FYI if you have Starwood points you can get a room at 7000 points a night or do the cash/points combo for $55USD plus 3500 points. Posted room rate is $170 but Bruce gets a healthy discount...think the rate was around $130 per night last year.
Just thought I would share another option for the hotel.

Here we go again with the exchange rate .. here's a suggestion .. start putting aside $ 50.00 per month in a shoe box and you'll have plenty to cover the hotel room !!
Some good news .. we are getting the same rate as last year $137.00 per night plus tax.
Just waiting for them to setup the reservation web page, should be getting that early next week.

You can either Book Online via the Link below or call the Toll Free Telephone Number and reserve that way using the name of "Canadian Corvette Forum 2016"

The Block of Rooms is as follows, in addition, rates will be available 3 days prior and 3 days after the Event Dates indicated in the Room Block, subject to availability of guest rooms at the time of reservation.
Thurs Aug 25 - 5 Rooms
Fri Aug 26 - 20 Rooms
Sat Aug 27 - 20 Rooms
Sun Aug 28 - 5 Rooms
The “cut-off date” for reserving rooms in the Room Block is 5:00 p.m. local time at Hotel on 26-Jul-2016.
Cancellation policy is 3 days (72 hours) prior to your first days reservation. If it's cancelled before the 3 days/ 72 hours, there is no penalty. It will spell this out in your confirmation e-mail with exact dates and times.
Room rate is $137.00 US + Tax, this rate applies for single,double,triple,or quad .. meaning that if you had 4 people in the room, the price is still $137.00 ideally split 4 ways.
I went with the default of 2 Double Beds for all the Online Bookings, if you prefer to have 1 King bed and 1 Pullout couch bed, Book Online and then call the Toll Free Number above and provide them your Confirmation Number from the Online Booking and switch the room to the King bed with the Pullout couch.
I think I covered everything, if you have a question, let me know
