Roads are bone dry in Sherwood Park but man there is a ton of rock on the road. We are a month ahead of last year but I fear they will still wait until late April to start the street sweeping. Who is braving the gravel?

My paint isn't perfect and I still won't drive it until at least 1 rain fall to wash some salt and rock off the roads!

I saw a black Z06 coming out of Southgate Mall on Thursday, (the 26th). There was enough gravel in that lot to fire up a gravel pit but to each his own!

I guess I'm lucky, street sweepers have already been out, just had the car out this evening for the first time - on a couple select roads. Its not just the paint I worry about, its the windshield from the other vehicles you meet.

I hear you on the windshield thing. Too many big trucks and "I don't care what comes/falls off my truck" attitudes.

I was in Sherwood Park yesterday (DD) and with all the ring road construction I can't see taking my car up there this year. Calgary has only a fraction of the gravel Edmonton does and even with that it is keeping me to short trips on the cleaner roads. That means no Deerfoot Trail which just eats windshields.

We also bought ours to drive...in the spring, summer and fall, no need to drive all winter long. Don't even have an urge to drive them in snow or extreme cold. Got vehicles for that.

I live down a dirt road, a little gravel does not scare me! That being said, the snow has finally melted in front of the garage so I think the car will see some vitamin D next week
Rock chips and gravel are par for the course in northern BC.

I took mine out for a cruise around Sherwood Park last night, the roads around there are clean..
As for my sportbike, I think I will wait until the street cleaners get out a lil bit more!

Michelin Alpins for the rear for this winter, will buy a set for the front in the fall and have Continental DWS for the other 3 seasons. I still have the MPSS sitting in storage, will probably never put them back on unless I have no choice, they're not conducive to our Alberta weather.
