Pre Christmas Dinner?
UPDATE 11/16/2014: Dec 5 @ 8pm at The Blackhorn is now reserved. I've got 34 seats reserved and they will fix the tables for us so we are eating together.
Just curious if anyone is interested if I organize a pre-Christmas dinner event for us. Everyone, regardless of religion, is welcome to attend. You don't have to believe in or celebrate Christmas to have a social dinner with all us fine folk.
With the winter season now upon us, there's going to be lot's of work and family related events prior to the holiday, so I'd like to arrange something where hopefully, everyone has a chance to attend. For those who would like to come from outside of Toronto/GTA (like more than an hours drive away), I can look at hotels in the area and get some rates. Let me know if that's also an interest.
Thinking of Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat Dec 3/4/5/6 @8PM. See the poll. I'll leave it up for a few days and then make the call as I need to set reservations.
I have a place in mind.

This will be a bring your significant other along if you can, but not mandatory.
Blackhorn is at the SouthWest corner of Warden and Ellesmere. Easiest way to get there is 401 to Victoria Park and head south to Ellesmere and turn left, heading east to the Blackhorn. That way it's a right turn into the parking lot. If you come south on Warden from the 401, make a right turn onto Ellesmere and the first left turn is into the restaurant.

Just want to put this out there.
Just because I am organizing this dinner, doesn't mean someone else can't do the same. Pick a day and a place for dinner and post it up, and whichever is the more popular, is the dinner to go too.
I'm sticking with my choice. Pubs are great for people that watch sports and like to look at cleavage. While that's ok some of the time, I'd prefer a more formal restaurant where SO's for most of us can be comfortable.

Hey Stan, I would like to attend however I just don't know if I can as I am crazy busy that week as I will be for most of the month of December.
I will keep watch which night is selected and I will do my best to attend.
It would be nice to see as many of the Corvette Forum members as possible.

Would love to hook up with my Corvette brethren and ladies--but sadly every weekend in December is booked solid!!--between company parties and working in Detroit---just no time--which is a good thing when snow is on the ground and vette is tucked away!!!------------But I will monitor the thread in case an opening arises!!

Unfortunately I can't change the time in the poll, but let's change the start time to 8PM.
You are right in regards to a the evening. 8PM gives everyone time to get home, freshen up and then head to the Blackhorn.
Stan.
