Drive clean test
So I received the dreaded notice yesterday that my Vette requires a drive clean test and I was hoping someone can chime in on where to take it. I would much appreciate a recommendation to a reputable service provider. Much like you guys, I too am apprehensive about handing my baby over to just anyone. Thanks in advance fellas!

Place I go to is on Warden & Continental -- east side, between ellesmere & 401. Can't remember the name.
They only do drive clean, so they have no vested interest in selling additional work.
Last time I was there, it was quiet and I was out the door in less than 20 minutes.

Remember in today's world the test is to simply verify that your car does not have any emission related fault codes. They simply plug into your car's diagnostic port. No need to even open the hood. There is absolutely nothing to worry about unless your car is heavily modified.
If you still have concerns I know a place that does a pre-test to make sure it will pass before you take it. I personally fail to see the need but if you would like contact information PM me.

Pick just about any place that looks like it's run decently. You could likely ask them if you can drive it in and out of the bay if you wanted.
It's nothing to be scared of anymore. Like the others posted, it's just a simple OBDII port plug-in test. With tuning, you can pass the test without cats or the air system even installed. If your car has run for 4-500km without disconnecting the battery and you don't have a check engine light then it should pass no problem.

Anyone with a scanner can check an OBDII car but it'd have to be for free to be worth doing.

As I noted earlier, I know a place that does pre-tests. Feel free to PM me for its info. I do think though that a pre-test is useless with the current system; a part of which is there is no consequence of failing the "official" test.

my vette is a 1993 OBD1 , I need to get a sniffer test done. Just wonder if I should get a pre test done , to see where it's at. But, like someone mentioned, I should just go for the test and see from there.

wow...thanks to all for the replies.
So to get this straight, there is no more dyno type roller involved in the emission test? If that is the case, it would be a huge relief since I was concerned my ZR1 lip would get damaged and all.
