This Thursday night at 10 pm, Heartland Canadian Tire. From my brother who is a Regional Manager for Can. Tire :
"In case you're interested, one of Canada's biggest weekly car meets is going to be at the Canadian Tire at Heartland this Thursday at 10pm. Don't know if its going to be a regular thing or not but when they did the meets in Vaughan last year the turnout was 1000+ people."
It's a car party for sure for those that have never attended, yes mostly imports but others too + exotics show up.
They usually post these on their Facebook page (I'm not on FB) and they get so large, they usually get told not to come back so this may be a one time thing for that location
Wasn't busy at all, 1000+ cars, est.2500+ people, brother knows the Can.Tire store manager = rooftop photos Crappy Blackberry shots though and understand - good luck getting shots of the car completely with so many people gathered everywhere......very tough to do, simply packed in the Can.Tire/Staples/Future Shop lot that they overflowed into the Walmart lot. Yes, mostly imports, many done right and lots of others too - Mustangs, some Vettes, Vipers, GT-R's, lots of superbikes etc....
Went to check it out.
Felt like I was on the set of the Fast and Furious!
Way too few American made cars for me.
Some unique colours in the satin wrap that looked very nice.
Yeah, ERTEFA is definitely a "tuner" show, and for a younger crowd, IMO.
Can't recall the last time I saw a GTG that huge with muscle cars, modern performance cars, and classics, all in one spot. But then, our cars aren't exactly cheap and the young crowd has a harder time affording them.
I know when I was that age (teens to mid 20's), I was in a Hyundai Pony, Chevy Cavalier Z24, then a Pontiac Firebird. I wish I could have afforded the muscle cars of my time. Progression.
Now a quote from my brother (Connected to Can.Tire). Are these guys really that stupid? Seems so
" NO more Shows - 20 cops were called in at 2:30am, street racing all over Mavis after the show. 20 cars were charged, the racers blocked in all the cop cars too race. It was a mess Dan said."

No surprise at all. this show is guaranteed to be shut down no matter where it is. I do respect the idea of what they are trying to do, it could be really cool, but there is just WAAAAAAAYYY too many cars and too many idiots.
I stay away from it because the cops invariably have to shut it down and don't want to get lumped into that idiot category just for owning a sports car.
And I don't blame the cops at all, or even the organizers too much, you cannot control another persons dumb actions.

Nice-shows it can be done wihout issues......but anything newer than 1950's??? I'm getting tired of the oldies car shows, they should get with the modern times, cars and music
