Stock Z06 at the strip
First time down the lane with it, BONE stock on Stock goodyear tires.
First time lining up......total rape of the street tires abort the pass.
second pass, I bought another IRS car, so gotta learn to peddle it: 12.14 @ 120 with 1.99 60'
third pass, trying again, but got worse and slower 12.26 @ 119 with 2.03 60'
Fourth pass, felt better, 12.ohhhhhh @ 121 with 2.04 60'
Fifth and last pass of the day, change shift points (on LET8HANG's advice) 11.96 @ 119.6 with 1.90 60'

Your mph seems low.Make sure you get into 4th gear at the 1000 ft mark. You should be going 11.7 at 123 to 125 mph.Launching on the good years is no easy task.Shifting into 4th is critical to achieve maximum mile per hour.

Just prior to our race, another car ahead of us put a rod through the pan past the finish line, so they had spent 15 minutes with oil dry all over the end zone. I was the first car down after that mess (******** my pants actually) so I kicked up all the dust as i was slowing down.

Also, does anyone do gear swaps on these to mathematically get them down into the 10's?
My personal goal after some mods I plan to do is 10.99 then I'm calling it a day. I heard that 520rwhp should be enough for 10's but on the stock 3.42 rear gears?

There are no other gear ratios for the C6Z diff... You could put a 26" tall drag radial or biasply on a 17x11 rim and that would give you the gearing you want... Plus better traction...

you need to go to 7000 rpm
I shifted into fourth to get into the 11's. First two passes I crossed the line in 3rd buzzing 7 grand. I'm not sure what rpm to shift at for best results. I would think anywhere over 5500?

My friends at RPM Transmissions sell a built base C6 IRS with 4.10's if you want... That would help you a lot plus ditching that stock clutch for a McLeod RXT would really help too... Being able to slip the clutch off the line will really help... The stock clutch gets too hot too fast... It sucks for any hot lapping...
