Default Garage lift?

Thinking of getting a lift for my garage (4 post) so i can get a third car inside and be able to do a lot more work on my cars myself.

Anyone have recommendations for local suppliers?

Thanks

Direct Lift is the lowest cost - many on here have bought it.

The distributor is in Concord Ontario.

I went with a Bendpak lift.
I decided on this because of the method on which the lift actually locks to the posts. As well it has a secondary locking system which is nice for just incase..
Alittle more then a direct lift, but cheaper then a rotary lift.

Lift Superstore. Good service, good price. Best money I've ever spent.

Sorry, only picture with the hoist.

Nice, um, lift!

Which model of 4 post lift is that - the 8000lb DX?

I'm thinking that's all I would need.

Also have a 4 post lift from the Lift Superstore in Oakville. Have had it for a number of years now and it's been good. Just need a center bridge jack now.

Couple questions:

Are you guys bolting it into the garage floor?

Did you build it yourself or have them build it?

thanks

I purchased a rotary lift. It works well for me.

I haven't bolted mine down. Seems fine if the garage floor is pretty level. Just don't put the car up to the very top and them try and violently shake the posts

If your floor is perfectly level, you should not need to lag it down. If yours is slightly sloped like mine is, the posts walk slightly as you raise and lower the vehicle. I have added one 1/2" lag to each corner and it has not moved.

I've had my Bendpak approaching ten years and no issues.
Mine is bolted down as I have a sloped garage slab, but wouldn't feel comfortable working under the hoist/car without it being bolted down.

Mine is bolted down 2 long lags per post, why would you risk your life / car for 10 mins worth of additional work ? 8 lags is overkill, but that was my request and they were happy to comply.

I had them Liftsuperstore install mine.

Only thing i needed was to extend the alum ramps, due to the car being lowered and the APsis front lip.

cheers.

my slope was more than code so all 16 were anchored. Regardless, spend the extra on the 'half the weight of steel ramps' and buy the aluminum ones. Well worth it for $3-400
