Default Question about C6 from US dash display

When you go through the options to change the display from MPH to KPH does the display stay like that or do you have to reset it every time??

My 98 C5 need to push the E/M button every time you start the car.

Also - if I bought a C6 from the US can I get an extended warrenty from my local dealership back home??

It does on the C6 - mine is a 2006 that came from the US and it stays at whatever setting you put it in even after your shut the engine down.

My 2001 stayed where you set it even if you turned the engine off

It stays where you set it, you do not have to set it each time.

On my 2000 and 2003 it also stayed metric....may have been different for a 98.

The only difference on a US cluster is the oil pressure gauge is in pounds, and the temp gauge is in Fahrenheit.

Those units are printed on the face of the cluster and don't change.

It was different for the 98, as my 98 was a Canadian car but I always liked to keep it in imperial mode, but I'd have to keep switching it over every time I restarted the car. With my 2005, whatever mode I decide on, it stays there until I switch it to the other myself.

Yes it will stay in whatever mode you set the dash in.

As long as you still have the factory warantee on the car, you can get an extended warantee at your local dealer.
