I think you'd be disappointed swapping from a LT1 to a LT4. You'll also run across people asking stupid amounts of money for them too, like $2500 to $4k. You'd probably be much happier power wise starting with your LT1 block and adding a stroker kit and aftermarket heads as the base for a new engine.

If you wanted to do a more complex swap then go for a LS engine swap. Even a 5.3L truck engine with a cam would outrun a LT4.

Randy, I have an LT4 sitting in a 32M km. '96 CE...wanna deal? You were at my house last year buying a few die cast Vettes I was selling. Hope you find something, although there is some curiosity out there as to what you're up to. Maybe you're looking for a 2014 LT4? Peter
