Or more likely is that the Z06 is the new Grand Sport in the C7 line and that a newer, more hardcore racer will be coming out. Maybe a limited edition, street legal C7R or C7RS. Besides, don't know why people are harping on the vert. It's not like they took the Coupe model away or anything like that. And I seriously doubt there's going to be a flood. Especially at the Z06 price point which I expect to be around $110,000 or higher. Corvette sales have been declining. Yes GM is trying to maximize sales, and I hope it works. And it's the same old song and dance. Means there will be a 2016 model year and maybe more. Just cause they introduced a convertible Z06 doesn't take anything away from that name. Buy the coupe if you're so inclined.

And what bling are you people talking about. It's a Z06 with the roof cut off. No more bling than the Z06 coupe, which now also comes with a removable roof panel. Don't really see anyone harping on THAT fact.

I haven't been a huge fan of the C7 but I think the Z06 'Vert looks fantastic.
