Was there, busy is an understatement, could barely find parking. Have to say, that Miata with the LS3 swap was pretty cool. It's impressive watching Kevin tune, he's truly gifted. Keep up the great work boys.

SHEESH! seems like everyone has more power than me anymore... even the guy with the Chevy Cruise 1.4L! I remember when the C5s were considered fast!

Tuned 7 more LS cars on Saturday, Wow that's 14 tunes mostly forced induction in just a couple of days. Was nice to see everybody there and meet many new customers. It's been our busiest winter ever and looks to be a busy summer...

Hi Pete,
Dumb question and no doubt its been discussed at length here on the forum and all over the internet for that matter. I never did see a "Manufacturers" opinion on the issue: "Does a non factory tune affect the manufacturers warranty?"
I guess if the tune can be identified as the sole contributor to the defect then the manufacturer could possibly deny the (warranty) claim.
Any instances or that you have first hand knowledge of that you could share?
Id guess that each Manufacturer would respond differently, but I'd just like to get a professional opinion.

That's why it's super important to use a shop like CHAMPION where you can be sure you will get tune that not only maximizes your performance, but keeps your engine safe as well!
One of the cars that came in on Saturday was strapped onto the dyno and the tuner was immediately able to spot just by his experience and his data that there was a valvetrain issue with the customer's car.
A quick teardown revealed a broken valve spring, a less experienced, or conscientious tuner would have continued and would have tuned the car as is. The customer was ever grateful that he chose CHAMPION and saved himself a huge impending bill if the valvetrain problem was not identified!
Rob and Fern not only had the parts required, but the customer's car was able to be repaired while sitting on the dyno without even unstrapping!
Great job by the guys at CHAMPION motors!

Oh yeah, do be aware as to what tuning options are out there!!
Mail order tunes although most are cheaper none are optimum.
I have met and use a few different tunes in my time both mail and in person, and boy have I been lucky to have found Kevin at CHAMPION without blowing anything up.
Be especially cautious about the "couch tuners" these guys tell you to go out and get data on a laptop, and then send it to them sitting at home watching TV! Where he would make a few tweaks to your tune and send you back a "new" file to install in your car to see if it's any better?
That's why CHAMPION is a no brainer!
They are tried and tested and guarantees everything they do.
Good luck!!
