When you do a blow in of that nature a trained eye can always tell. Cheers!
I beleive that I mentioned that you wanted to reclear the clip. I was told by two other shops that this was not nessassary to complete this specific repair.
Just to clarify, the small area of repair was repainted, however the entire right side of the fender, door to front and from top line to bottom was cleared. Stan has been painting cars for 50 years I'm pretty sure he knows what he is doing.
I have seen some of Champions work and they are also very good at what they do. However a relationship between us did not work out. I am not criticizing there work or ethics.
Just suggesting to other members that there are other shops that are just as experianced in Corvette repairs. Enough said I'm done.

I'm having Champions repair my car and it will be good as new!

For what it's worth, Champion will be getting the job simply on the basis that I am more confident that they know what they are doing than anyone else I spoke with. Will let you all know once that's been verified!
how did he get your number?

Unfortunately, for the C7 that started this thread if the other persons info isn't available then the owner would have to pay the deductible but it's not considered at fault and wouldn't hurt his insurance. But, if the deductible is $500 or $1000 it might be cheaper to just get it fixed.
I was hit and run in a gas station of all places. Off-camera. I reported it as H+R and paid no deductible. Might be something in my policy, but I was always under the impression when you're not at fault you pay nothing.

We do a lot of insurance claims and most customers pay deductible and the claim is on their record. Unless you have vanishing deductible or accident forgiveness.

Hey Mad*Max, didn't disappear - they called later because as it turns out, they knew me. They were decent about the whole thing. Would have been nice to know about it right away, but they did contact me. I appreciated the call.
Bringing the car into Champion tomorrow.

Great choice bringing it to CHAMPION....
Not only do they have the expertise to do the job right, they also have a state of the art modern facility and a Spray Bake downdraft booth to guarantee that the job will be done right!!!

Can't wait to see it when it's done.
