Default Canadian orders

Who did you guys order from? Are you happy with them? Was it MSRP or different? What deposit amount was needed? Refundable or non?

I'll start. Ordered from Sherwood Park Chevrolet, happy (so far, although the transaction isn't done yet), at MSRP (later they mentioned a $500 dealer fee which they agreed to waive after some negotiating), $5,000 non-refundable deposit needed. Communication has been good with them.

I bought my car there and I was told they are out of allocations last month, be careful, what documentation do you have and what is the delivery date after which you can cancel without penalty

Shaganappi Chev, $2500 deposit (non-refundable), 4 months later happily driving my Z51 w/comp seats (two of the biggest constraints). Not a problem at all with ****, will always be dealing with them as far as my Corvette purchases go. They are number one by volume in all of Canada and they sold out of all of their 2014 allocations (28).

Do you know approx. when they ran out of allocations? I ordered mine on Nov 17th. I would be surprised if a large Corvette dealer such as them simply took my $5k without any allocation, but your post did make me slightly worried. On the documentation side I actually don't have much, just a receipt that I paid $5k. Tomas called me about a week after I ordered with telling me there was good news in that GM has accepted my order or something along those lines, I don't recall what the exact status was but he made it a point to call me and also asked to reconfirm my interior colour.

That's great that they are only taking $2500 deposit!

Re: the highest volume, I take that with a grain on salt whenever I hear it. Sherwood Chevy told me once they were the highest in Western Canada, and then another time said that as of recently they are now the highest in Canada. I'm guessing a dealer in the GTA would be selling more though. I think they said they had an allocation of 30 C7's this year.

I talked to the sales manager today, he told me I'm at 3400 status with tpw Jan 6th, it was a copy and pasted summary with my order details and seemed legit. He also said they still have 2 allocations left if anyone is interested and their dealer is sold out contact these guys or pm me and I can give you the sales managers contact info

On another note I'm curious why we both got different info from the same dealer, what do you think?

Thomas is pretty good the other regular salesman are not so good,

I may have asked 2 or 3 weeks before you and the great (not) salesman I bought my 2013 from told me that on 2 different occasions, no problem may have been just an error,

met the owner 2 days before I made my deal and he set the salesman straight right in front of me, seemed nice,

S P chev said they were the biggest corvette and camero dealer in Canada (not just corvette)

anyway let us know when it comes in and good luck you will enjoy it

The other one I dealt with was Jason, he seemed to not know his stuff in the beginning when I first met him but seems to have gotten better and on the ball. I haven't seen one yet IRL so I asked Thomas to let me know when one comes in the showroom that isn't immediately being picked up or shipped out so I can come and check it out. That happened today, they have a red Z51 3LT with black interior silver wheels and red calipers for sale right now.

On their total allocation and sales to date Thomas told me just completed his 30th order, and that he has 2 premier additions on top of that coming, and that his total allocation is 32, he said he wasn't sure if that meant 30 + the 2 premier editions or if it meant 32 + 2 for 34, said he would find out, but otherwise it sounds like they might finally be sold out. And regardless of whether the total is 32 or 34, it is more than Shaganappi so maybe they are right when they say they're the biggest dealer in Canada.

Just put $2000 deposit on a 2014 Z-51 2LT with Duecks in Vancouver. Salesman was upfront that they were over allocation. If enough deals fall through or people make other choices I will get a 2014. Otherwise I'm at the top of the 2015 list.

My Dueck order $3000 deposit: coupe z51; 3LT, NPP, FAY, magnetic shocks, transparent roof was placed on July 19 and I was #7 of their 12 allocations. Tom Larriviere has been good to work with although he does not have a lot of information from GM Canada on the "manual" allocation system so not really sure when the car will be built-probably sometime in January, shipped in February and at dealership sometime in March. Its been a long wait but still very keen to take delivery.

Default Recommendation on Dealer/sales person

Hi all, any recommendations on a dealer/sales person to deal with in the lower mainland, vancouver area? Im looking for either 2014 or 2015 waiting list (not sure if any dealer here has any 2014 allocations left), thanks

I would recommend Dueck on Marine-Tom Larriviere. They are the largest volume corvette dealer in the Lower Mainland-had an allocation of 12 in the first phase out of a total of 15 that was for all dealers in Metro. I was #7 on their list but do know they have none of that allocation left-not sure about their position in phase 2. I ordered mine;coupe,z51,3LT,A6, NPP, FAY- in July 2013 and it might get built in January/February so you must be patient.

I'm "resigned" to getting a 2015....will be top of this list (or close to top) and will, of course being adding the track data package

A new TPW of March 3!! Should get my z51, coupe, CRM, 3LT, NPP, MRC ,FAV in April

I can tell that the "manual" allocation method used by GM US treats GM Canada as though they are a single dealer with an allocation of, say 300, and individual dealers do not have an allocation directly with BG as do US dealers. Zone managers in Canada are given an allocation each consensus cycle-every 2 weeks, and they decide how to divide it up amongst the various dealers in their zone. So each week local dealers wait to find out from the zone what they will get so status codes so prevalent in the US really do not have the same precision here. Probably too much information but just saying
