Anyone here plan on getting a C7?
I'm curious if anyone on here is planning on ordering a C7 next year? I wonder who will be the first one of us to get one? (not me unless I win Lotto Max!)

Bought a few 1st yr models before incl the '84 vette. I will wait to read about its issues. I still remember picking up the '84, it was fast, handled incredibly well but so rough riding. Kept it for spring and most of summer then went back to 911's.

With a new model every dealer will be asking over retail instead of selling for a reasonable price. I think I will wait till all the bugs are worked out, a performance model comes out (like the Z06), and without some idiot trying to tell me I was lucky to get it for over full sticker....

And I think GM has come a long way and the first year teething problems would be a lot less than with previous generations. The first year C6 problems really weren't that big of a deal, not like the 84 Corvettes (I owned one so I'm very familiar with how incredibly unreliable they were)

I would consider the C7 but I think they will make some changes in the second model year. I am reading about some transmission chages that will not make it to production in the first year. You can count on GM to dole out changes every year to keep the interest high. Some will be minor and some will be major. The C6 went from an LS2 to an LS3, 4 speed to 6 speed auto, manual transmission change in 2008, etc. I have a new Z06 now that I am enjoying. The problem for me is that there are now many cars in this price segment that are attractive to me both in style and performance and most have much better build quality. A purchase in this price range is not to be taken lightly.

If I had the money I would have no problems buying the first year of a new model, that's what the warranty is for, no? I'd much rather be the first one on my block to own one than to wait a couple of years and deny myself all that time behind the wheel.

BTW... I think I was the first guy to give Pat a ride in my C6...I told him he could drive it, but he just wanted a ride. So if anyone is buying a new C7, Pat just wants a ride. Then he will talk you into to heading to TMS and beating the crap out of it .

Depends on the price lol... . To me the exterior design of c7 is not that important . I'm more interested in the weight power and handling and ofcourse lastly the price .....
