2012 Season Sherway CFCE GTG for April 7th ?
This is a feeler and a question. Every long term weather model I looked at predicts fairly high numbers for April in the 90th percentile of their forecasts. Those are quite reliable numbers usually.
I would be happy to start organizing it, but I would need to know whether most cars come out on the 1st of April. April 7th is a Saturday. I guess I could organize for a get-together and the opening cruise?
Thanks

April 7th works for me! So does the 21st or the 28th though Maybe we should put it to a vote to make sure we get the maximum number of people this year. Last year's bad weather forecast kept the numbers way down, even though the roads dried up pretty quickly that morning, so hopefully this year we'll get over 100 cars for this event!

I am more than happy with setting it up for a Sunday. I do not quite see why we would wait to start so late in April. The likelihood of the weather being too cold or it being too rainy seems rather low this year. We have been trending way above the 30year averages all year long.

Either should work for me, but remember the Sunday the 8th is Easter. I personally wouldn't be able to make it on that day.
And Romeo, where are you?!?!

I think planning the Sherway CFCE Season Opener GTG on the long Easter weekend might not be a good idea as it's too contentious for the family folk. A cruise is equally a bad since traffic will be higher and enforcement's always stepped up during these times too, not that we ever do much to worry about - but why suffer the duress unnecessarily?
Many of us will be spending that long weekend completing the spring prep and other season opening activities.
I say give the weather another week or two to warm up - choose the 14th with the 21st as a rain date.
