EEP Haliburton Run on Saturday
East End Posse (and wannabes):
Raggdoll called me up today to twist my arm into doing another driver's run on Saturday (Nov. 13).
Preference is to do the same run he and I did in early October. There won't be any leaves on the trees this time of year, but the weather should be great and it might be the last chance we get before hibernation season.
We will meet up at Sunset Grill in Whitby on Saturday morning at 8:30 for breakfast. The route is a brief stint on 401 to Port Hope, then north to the south shore of Rice Lake. Rest stop in Havelock, loop up farther north then back down for a late lunch in Lakefield, then back down through Peterborough and on to the 115.
Bring your radios (I try to call out oncoming traffic so you don't end up surprised by a big dump truck in a long sweeping left or get too spirited on the sharp rights) and top off your tanks before breakfast (Petro Canada is a 9-iron from Sunset Grill).
If you have a Garmin Nuvi GPS with custom route capabilities (7xx, 8xx series and some 14xx and 16xx units), bring it into the restaurant and I'll try to load the route up onto your unit.
Who's in?

Thanks for posting this up Roy
Can't wait...this will likely be the last hurrah for RAGGDOLL, as insurance comes off in 2 weeks, and the 14 trend calls for cooler, wet weather.
So, this Saturday is the perfect day for one last rip, East End Posse style
Any westenders who'd like to join but can't make it that early, we'll likely not take off till at least 9:30 from Sunset Grill once we finish breakfast.

I think we'll probably have lunch at Pizza Hut in Lakefield (unless you can recommend a better spot). I think we should be there near 1:00PM. If you PM me your number, I can call you when we're close (or maybe Mike already has it?)

Would of loved to come out - but we have sooooo many leaves in our area - took me all day to clean out the eastroughs and the yard and get them all to the curb - and yeah I used a leaf blower....
Maybe next weekend - fingers crossed!!
