Saw all these Camaro Convertibles going down the 401 today...
This morning westbound on 401 as I was going to work... Saw this going down the express lanes. I was in the collectors but managed to catch up to it.
Wonder where they're going? They all have the Onstar stickers on the window so I doubt they're test vehicles...

Nice catch, that is interesting as they are not supposed to be available until next year, in fact.....
They are auctioning (at Barrett Jackson Las Vegas this weekend) the second one off the assembly line for one lucky owner to have months before they even debut the car.

GM will not reveal the production version even at the auction, as it has been scheduled for a year-end launch, most possibly at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November this year.

Nice catch Jon. If they're heading west, I'd bet they're heading to Michigan, probably to be used as media cars.
I want to see the production vert myself as these are on my maybe list.

Try and sell the pics as "spy" pics!!!
Kinda like auto paparazzi!!
If anyone remembers the old Johnson Control building at the south end of Thickson - Inteva (or something like that) is renting the building and they took over the contract that Automodular have - they are the ones making the dash and roof stuff. Apparently there is a sunroof option comming.

I'll bet they are captive fleet vehicles that will be used for a number of things....long lead press, GM durability testing (by GM employees on the street), final evaluation & changes (i.e.: material texture, etc), engineering mules, new car shows (LA is coming up soon) etc. Probably be crushed when GM is finished with them.
