Default Need Tires

During searches I found these to be about the best I could find. Close to US$ with shipping.

Firestone
Fronts $288.
Rears $377
installed and balanced each plus tax

Michelin PS2
Front $439
Rear $613
again each plus tax

Any one know of any better prices. These are in the GTA area.

Gary, try one these contacts.

1. John @ Bramalea Tire (Brampton)

2. Larry @ Tire Depot (Thornhill)

3. Joe @ Consumers Tire (Markham)

Don't have their phone numbers readily available but you will find them.

I can't speak for Bramalea or Consumers Tire as I have purchased from them in the past however I have taken the tires elsewhere for installation. I can tell you that Tire Depot has the latest installation equipment for Corvette Tires/Wheels.

Bramalea Tire is awesome! Their prices on Goodyear tires usually can't be beat by anyone in the GTA. I just got a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 all seasons there last fall and there is no way they would've been cheaper from the US, not with the cost of shipping them up here, the duty, plus the extra cost of installation (which is free when you buy from Bramalea Tire and have them install the tires) They are also very careful with the car too, they never put any scratches on the rims or the paint. And John the owner is a super nice guy! He always takes the time to talk with his customers.

Bought a pair of Front Bridgestone Potenzas RE-11 (245/18) from Queens Tire in Acton. Installed & balanced for $325 each. That was mid-late 2009 when our dollar was weaker (about 90 cents to a dollar), maybe now they have a lower price.

Really happy with their service. Quick, honest and great prices. They use new installation equipment for changing tires that won't scratch your rims. I'll try to find their info for you......

I have tried several different tires and have to say the Bridgestone Potenzas RE-11 are top notch tires. Easily one of the best summer tires for our cars before you start getting into the r compounds. The RE-11s have some SERIOUS grip on dry days and never had a problem in really wet weather (mind you I drive the speed limit in wet weather ), quiet, wear well (over 12k now), a little lighter than the stock runflats and are pretty good looking tires. The only disadvantage, its more of a inconvenience is that they are NOT run-flats.

Hope this helps.

Pat

Here I digged up the info for you:

Queens Tire
387 Queen St E
Acton, ON
519-853-3940

Try speaking to Frank, that's who helped me. They'll give you a competitive price on any tire you decide on. Worth a call.

I bought my snow tires for my DD at Queens Tire in Acton.
Great pricing, service and a very unique all Female installation team.

Me too but in 275/30/19 size and I think about $380 each installed. The Queens Tire price was much better than any one else I called.

I'll also agree they are good tires. I'd consider them at least as good as the PS2's, but probably even better and they are cheaper too. But then my opinion is that PS2's are overpriced for what you get, expecially when you get into 19" sizes when they become rediculously overpriced...
