Default Geneva Autoshow & Canadian Geography

After a week of training I had a few hours before my flight and was able to go through the Geneva Autoshow.

Here are some shots from the show:

Corvette Display. Separate from the Chevrolet one, and beside the Cadillacs.

Seems that because the cars weren't separated from the public everybody thought they could hop in the cars. Of course all the doors were locked causing some strange looks from those trying to get in.

They had a convertible, Z06 & coupe. They also had a ZR1 on display.

And being Europe emissions are a purchasing consideration. Here are the ZR1 results:

Some auto makers liked to highlight their low emissions and driving pleasure in the same vehicle, such as Toyota's Aygo:

Seriously, how much pleasure can 68 hp bring?

But realistically here is what everybody wanted to see:
Aston Martin's 4-door Rapide

Koenigsegg

Ferrari's new toy. The California was in the booth too.

Bugatti, complete with a potential buyer in the booth:

But on the flight back the weather was great and here are some pictures where I want to test your geography skills:

Hands up for which CF member who works here?

Name that lake:

Which Ontario track is this?

Now, I think I know which ski hill is in the picture, but I've never skiied in Quebec. Suggestions?

I'll post the answers later, and hopefully get some more pictures posted. Lots of booths, from every major manufacturer to others including Brabus, and Pininfarina.

The last one looks very much like Mont Tremblant - and Lac Ouimet right in front of it...

The track is Calabogie. The lake I think is Scugog.

Thanks!

I doubt anybody would turn down the Ferrari 458. Also I'll get the program to you when I see you next.

Hope the Bugatti buyer has a phone book or cushion to use if she buys it.

Yeah looked like she needs a boost. Then again from Top Gear Richard Hammond was able to drive one (but lost to the RCAF jet), so it's probably an option.

That's what I thought too, but have never got to see it first hand up-close and personal.

Bingo on the track. As for the lake, nope. I didn't upload pics of that -- I was trying to get a shot of Powell Motorsports.

And finally, the stalker becomes the stalked. I was able to get CDN_Wolf_eh store in the pic. It's small, but if you start with the blue roofs, go down to the first major road and then go one major road to the left you get his intersection.

And finally a couple more shots I didn't include before. Enjoy!

Alfa's concept, sitting in the Pininfarina booth:

Lexus' supercar, LFA:

Another Alfa, but one was in the Alfa booth:

Thanks for letting me share!
