Default Drew's Road Race 427-550 RWHP!!!!!!!

I finally got around to tuning Drew's 427 monster-it pulled an honest 547 rwhp!!!!That's over 630 horse at the crank!

Hopefully Drew can chime and give all the details but I'll tell you what I know.

It's freshened 427 with LS7 heads, FAST 102 intake with a NW 102 TB, LPE 100maf.

I still think there's an honest 10 rwhp to be gained with a better free flowing exhaust and finding the intake restriction-the MAP reading indicated we were pulling vacuum at WOT.

Lot's of power and torque to give people fits at Mosport!

That's what I like to see, N/A numbers that high means a well thought out and put together motor.

Great curve/numbers.
Looking forward to doing a cruise or 2 with Drew. It's a treat.

Thanks guys and thanks for the tune Arun.
Car drives great (or at least as well as can reasonably be expected).
LS7 block and heads (wet still).
Cam is a QM600. Don't have the numbers on hand but they're very big...In the order of .666" @ around 260ish or so. And with 20 some odd degrees of overlap...there's plenty of lope.
Makes power up to the new 7000RPM limit and I have every intent of taking her there. Peak is now 559.9whp @ 6600RPM i believe.
Low RPM surging is manageable and she's sending an honest 400lb-ft to the pavement by 3250.
Rotating assembly is Callies Compstar W Ross 4.125"'s.
Heads are ported with Harlan Sharps and Morels. Del West Ti's on Patriot extremes.
Racetronix pump on 42#ers returning.
Pipework is Kooks 1+7/8" to Corsas.
I was previously running a steel sleeved 427 LS2 that made approx 500whp. She started to burn oil something furious and showed lifter and cylinder wear.
I'm a C5 out of West T.O...red, black, skulls...Howitzer-like backfires...kinda hard to miss....especially if the motors running....
THIS THING IS LOUD!!!! (Too bad the dumps wouldn't fit!)
And with the solid mounts....invigorating to say the least.
Trying to keep a low profile and my boxers clean.
Need to work on the driver mod pronto...it's been a while (thanks for the (not so free) storage eh Rob) and moving from the Twindisc/Steelwheel to the ultralight aluminum is mos-def not helping my confidence. Stalled more times going around the block than in the first year I owned the car! Doh!
Track's open in 2 weeks!

Big thanks to Rob, Peter, Fern, Alex and Arun for their hard work and shoutouts to the whole CHAMPION crew......
Home of the Fastest Street Driven Vettes in the WORLD!!!!!!

Think everyone learned a bit on this one...I sure did.
It wasn't easy...and It's not done yet...
NOT BY A 1/4 MILE!!!

Wonder what it will take to stuff these 360x725 (15.6" x 28.4") meats I picked up in there? Don't think my 12"'s and mini tub will cut it any more!

Drew,
Going to need the widen rear fenders with your mini tubs to fit those tires.
Rob.
