Was there Saturday.Picked up 11 boxes,no problems. He charges $5.95 USD per package-usually.He only charged me $50 USD instead of $65.45.They had my name on one of the cartons in large black marker lettering.Suggest getting there a bit early as it doesn't take long for the line-up to build.Make SURE you have a copy of the INVOICE or Bill for customs.I paid for my order over the phone using my Visa. The order arrived with a ship note & no invoice.I spent another 30 min at cutoms playing 50 questions.Got through it ok tho.

The Canada Customs people are very serious about their jobs - don't mess with them....

Actually they treated me very well.Serious, but respectfull. No hassels really because it was an error on my part not having the invoice.Sami, you are right, they looked like high school kids getting some on-the-job-training/bring your kids to work day.I e mailed Racedeck & in future they will include the invoice on the box. They normally only do it for commercial sales, but as of today, they will do it for international orders.BTW,Racedeck's customer service was 110%!!!!Will post before & after pics as I go.

Sami....This is why the aggravation.....School semester is finished, these "kids" are from the Customs officer courses at all the community colleges. They are hired for the summer, they will be there until Sept. when the next semester starts.....They fill in for the summer rush to the States when the full time guys are off.....
Used CBI many times, Dave is a very nice guy, no hassles if you do it as Arwilf said.
BUT PLEASE, MAKE SURE the vendor sends an invoice. When I bought my last set of wheels, the vendor (H.O.W.) did NOT send an invoice, even though I specifically asked him to. I was really P-Oed, to say the least. Luckily, the officer at the boarder was nice and believed me when I told him. I paid the duty and was ok.
Thanks Folks.. i gave it a shot.. and placed my order.. As far as invoices go.. can i not just take the emailed version/Confirmation with me?? Or does it have to be one shipped with the parcel? Thanks
I usually take the email copy of the paypal invoice/payment confirmation and match it up to the original (usually included with the parcel) so when they match it up at the border there are no issues.

Sure - as long as everything matches up you will be O.K. - as a general the better the documentation you have, the easier it is bringing stuff back...
Do you have to open some sort of account with CBI before you ship something there?
It's a good idea to open a "account" it does not cost anything and may save some agrivation at some point. CBI act''s as an agent on your behalf. In addition it gives you a box number that you can log on at any time and what is there to be picked up. If you plan on using them more you can pay an annual fee I think it's 60.00 and it reduces the cost per box.
do I need to call them to give them the heads up that I'd be sending items there?
Many thanks in advance!
Tommy
It's always a good idea to give them a heads up - and then to check when you think your stuff may have arrived.
Dave owns the place - they have a 1-800 number on their website - call him to ask the cost of receiving tire - at most it will be $6 each or two for $6 if they are bundled together as gary suggests..
