When is the first track day and where?

Just wondering if anyone has arranged any road track days.

April 28 with Apex at Mosport and then 13 of us are headed to Upstate NY to Watkins Glen from May 2-4 And Gerry low has a bunch of events at TMP.... where do you want to run?

Here are the Apex dates for Mosport:

April 28th
May 19th
May 26th
June 22nd
July 13th
July 28th
Aug 9th
Aug 18th
Sept 13th
Sept 29th
Oct 14th
Oct 26th

Here are Dexter dates at Mosport

May 14th
June 4th
August 20th
September 24th
October 15th

Greg (1bdrsk) has set up a google calendar that list a ton of track events from different clubs. I think we should set up a sticky with the dates as well.

any on toronto motorsports park or shannonville full track?
I know smaller easier course but good warm up to the season

Are the apex mosport all instructed?

and yes, Apex events will have many instructors available. Great group to learn the track with.

How are you guys transporting your wheels to and from the track?

Anyone know a good place for a "tire trailer"?

Most of us just drive on what we have,, there's a few here lucky
enough to have dedicated track tires but I just run my
GYs. For the novice your street tires are more than enough..

Where were you last year when I had that PERFECT little tire trailer for sale for ~$500???

Long gone now, but it seemed that I couldn't GIVE it away for awhile!?!

If anybody wants some good instruction at Mosport, SoloSprint will be holding a school there on Sunday, July 4th. Here's the registration form if anyone is interested (http://www.casc.on.ca/uploadedFiles/...0210100436.pdf). Feel free to PM me, or use the contact info on the form for more info.

Keep in mind, this is a SCHOOL only ... it's not one of the SoloSprint competition (timed) events ... so no need to worry about the "pressure to perform", if you know what I mean

... but, the focus of the school is definitely to show you how to improve your driving, and where to save precious seconds on the track

.

Oh yeah, cost is only $285 for the day!

PM Greg, you should have access to this, it has tons of events

I think OTD will be busy this season... lets use that more

Some of us are headed to Toronto Motorsports Park tomorrow, I believe the cost is $100-$150 for the day. I believe instruction is included as well. Great place to start and learn the limits of your car.
