Default Mosport Grand Prix Track - Sunday, Nov. 22nd

Anyone interested in going to Mosport this coming Sunday?

8:30A - Driver's Meeting
9:00A - 1st Group on Track
5:00P - Last Group off Track

$300.00 for whole day ... I'm sure if your interested in just trying your car on the track for a couple of sessions, Jerry would make you a deal

Lunch & Snacks throughout the day ... beautiful weather expected ... possible cruise destination for those looking for an excuse to drive their car on Sunday!

I am thinking about it.

As it is a weekend it is a good chance to take friends or newbies out fro a ride when they might otherwise not have a chance.

Have to put the insurance back on it for a day. They did it last time N/C.

Rob is thinking of coming up too.....

certainly no point in staying home to watch the Nascar snoozefest.....

Yep ... great way to spend the day ... rather than watching the spec. sedans (NASCAR) go round in circles!

I might invite a few friends up, take them out for some rides ... scare the *BLEEP* out of them!

Hope to see you and Rob there!

We need an official 'Peer Pressure' gif!

Why don't you set up an "Official Cruise" ... Meet up at Yorkdale Sunday morning, and just have it end up at Mosport?

I am betting that Jerry might be open to the idea of some of the newbies doing a few laps in their cars with the green group......... good way to get first timers hooked........

O.K. - I am going to start a thread - meet at Yordale at 8:00 - maybe stop at the Sunset Grill and then proceed to Mosport.

Which Gate do we come through and where do we go once we're in...

If I was Jerry, or John, well any of the Apex guys, I would want to get as many Newbie's hooked as possible ... that is what happend to me last year ... once you've tried it, you'll wonder why you waited sooooo long to do it!

Third Gate ... there will be a guy there who will have everyone sign a waiver sheet before they enter the track area ... proceed through the tunnel, under the track ... then up to the paddock area .... park, then walk up the wooden stairs to the track area ... and over by the Castrol Tower.

As you know Mr. Line we do these events as High Performance Driver Education days...... there is no "racing" involved .........EVER!!

Anyway I can't imagine any Z06 sticking with a ZR1....... can you imagine what long legs it must have going up the back straight!!!!........yikes
Then it has the brakes to slow for 8.......

Yes...... I always take the metal strips out......

It looks like Rob and I will be there for sure on Sunday. I just got an email from Gerry where he confirmed it.

As for the post above I had not seen that other thread where there was discussion on the ZR1 vs Z06........ and therefore did not have the benefit of qwikredline's views on the issue. So if the comments above seemed weird it's because i wasnt in the loop so to speak.....

While he made some valid points on the cars (as ususal), he overestimates my driving acumen......... I am certainly not betting $1G that MY Z06 will show a ZR1 the way around the track
But I would love to try........ one of those no lose situations for a Z06 driver......

Also just heard from Gerry. No gas at the track on Sunday so govern yourself accordingly

I will try and be there. Just back in from business in Paris for the week. Not sure if the family will let me off for the day after being away.

Bob should I bring up a guy with a GT3 up for you chase off the track

oooh.........Low Blow.......

I did NOT chase him off...... he said he had brake failure...... I felt sick for him..........

But i will admit that my first thought was he was looking in the mirror and saw nothing but yellow and messed up......... I would hate to be a party to any of those kind of things.......

Re Sunday..... bring the family........ good time to go for rides

I guess being one of the newbies I'd like to go but car is put away and didn't hear back from insurance company. Is there a charge to watch?
