Noooooo Bob! You, and I, and Eshel ... we fall in the "More To Love" category. And even if I lose the 100 lbs. I'll still be in the "Still, A Lot To Love" category

Thanks for pointing out that Aviad (good friends of, and suppliers to, ARE) copied Devon's 06 fix for the Z06 oiling issue. As well Aviad thus compete with their customer ARE (Gary Armstrong, www. drysump.com) and his very well engineered and made in the USA comprehensive cast alloy engine dry sump pan and real oil tank for the Z06.

My guess is, smart Corvette owners consider all options.

We'll have to chat about this ... sometime ... in the very near future.

Yes but it was GM Canada that put me on to the LPE tank ....... so I had WN install it and will hope that I am still blessed with Warranty. WN certainly seem to think so. While I would love to do the pan, pump and pickups I fear that the General might not like it. I have gone as far as I think they will let me in trying to protect OUR motor. Once the warranty is finished I will probably do the stuff you mention.....because then it will truly be MY motor

Hi Mark,

Congratulations on the new ride! It will be sadly missed, but we are glad it's in great hands now! It's a great looking car, I always wished I could drive it.. lol

Hope you keep my fathers memories alive with his dear vette. =)

Wish you safe driving as he will be looking over you while you drive =)

Ditto for me. And I would consider myself a "smart Corvette owner" . Not brilliant, mind you, but I can hold my own in a game of Pictionary.

Very true, but Mark seems to be the exception, and he may be the
bulkiest. So by my estimation, your odds are about 50/50.

its good that you fitted a better tank your motor will be able to better survive the track. It wont help with the pan, but fingers crossed. I have no idea who is left at GM of Canada anymore that knows much, and I guard what contacts I have left in the USA carefully. I think you have been treated well under warranty, and thats a good thing.

The new GM has the same old corporate culture sad to say. It must be 30 years I have been hearing how difficult it is to turn GM around, its like turning the Queen Mary in the detroit river.

Amazing that GM has so many really good cars as well as Corvette that far outshine the competition for performance and price. Amazing that perception that they are not good is accepted reality by the larger number of folks out there...

Congrats Mark. I am sure that Bill would be glad that it stayed in the CFCE family.

Should we expect this to be the first Z to break the 200K marker?

Brian! Haven't seen you on the board since your run in with a truck.

How you doing? And how's the car coming along?
