anyone owns an airplane or have good hook up for rental ?
need to get from toronto to Polar Bear Provincial park and then get picked up from there in a week, going last week of oct. rental is 150 bucks an hour, so the trip would cost me 3g ! ( counting that its 5 hrs each way) thats little much i think for what i get . i have my own pilot if i can get a rental somewhere for a decent price, or i can pay someone to take us there. 2 people and about 150lbs of gear. ( total of 450lbs )
let me know.
thanks

I have 2 airplanes at Brampton A/P, but my Cessna 150J is a 2-seater and wouldn't take the total weight with full fuel for 5-hr trip (?) to Polar etc. I couldn't find the airstrip in my CFS (Canadian Flight Supplement). You probably want a 4 seater float plane for lake access. I have several pilot friends with larger airplanes and some have floats. Having your own pilot, your best bet may be to rent a C-172 with floats from John Greer 705 739 2982 and he flies from Simcoe Regional A/P and also rents various float planes (Future Air). I have flown with him a couple of years ago and he's a great and very safe pilot.
Good luck.
Good luck.
