Default Vettes sold a dlr auction

boring day, so posting these results for recent dealer auctions, as a point of interest..... and, also to get my post count up... .....

06/23/09 Toronto...
2008 CORVETTE 8G 2DCP 6 PS PB AC RT 20,501 RED $44,000
2008 CORVETTE 8G 2DCP A PS PB AC 7,621 RED $43,800

06/30/09 Toronto....
1990 CORVETTE ZR1 8G 2DCP 6 PS PB AC RT 56,783 RED $17,500

06/13/09 Toronto......
.08 CORVETTE AUTO 6.2L V8 2DR TARGA SILVER 28,649 K $40,500 CC PL PST PW AC HSDP 1G1YY26W78
04 CORVETTE Z06 MANUAL 5.7L V8 2DR BLUE 19,694 K $32,500 CC PL PST PW AC PS 1G1YY12S04

Prices seem low to me, I haven't been in person for quite a while though, makes a diff if you actually see the cars, but these are the sold prices.... wholesale... dealer.... etc etc...

Not really Dave, when I bought mine, I couldn't find a good deal at the dealer auctions, so I ended up getting it off E-Bay in the U.S.... I just check the auction sites once in a while and post anything I see that's interesting.... here's all the auction sites show for the national averages

Where do you see this auction? Website?
Is it just for dealers?

Anyone konw if that 1990 was the one listed on Autotrader @ Multi-Line in Oakville. I think they started at about $24K then dropped to $21K a couple weeks ago. Seems like right colour and km if I remember correctly.

Mark,

Thanks for the info.
The thing about trade ins they sometimes play with the #'s to give you the trade in value you want.

Mark,

Did you pull the trigger?
Find someone to sell at MSRP?

Dave, Everyone is selling at MSRP or slightly less now...give it another month and a lot of dealers will have inventory sitting unsold. Regardless, I think the car is a great value and if they keep their word on the trade and don't try any last minute "gimmees", I will sign the deal. Timing is everything on my trade, so I want to get that done ASAP so they can still get good money for the car.

Mark,

Sounds like a good strategy! The only downside, will you get the exact car you want if you buy one from inventory?
