So it appears that the big parking lot is hosting auto-x on Sunday's at the Barrie Molson Centre.
Just thought I would start a thread to see who is interested in racing, and not "just" attending. It looks like I wont be doing the motor/tranny until July sometime, and I want to drive the car in stock trim until that date. Some will laugh, but the 22 year old platform does very well with a stellar 240rwhp/330rwtq, and it's a hoot to drive!
If anyone is interested. I am going to try and find out the details, and what Sunday's they auto-x.
If you want to come out and race let me know, and I will set up something.
Mike it looks like Dwight, and Kurt will be attending, but not this weekend.
I am going this Sunday to check it out, but I don't think I will have time to race. Kurt sent me an email stating that July 19th is a go. I don't have a clue what car he is bringing, but I am thinking it's the 415 ZR-1.
Mike it would be cool if you could make that date. Maybe after we could attend my place for lunch, and you could meet Gwen.

OK lets keep in touch but I get home from Germany on the 18th so not sure what kind of shape I will be in.... Somebody call me in the am..
I went to the autocross yesterday, and it's a very big parking lot. The course yesterday was tight, and even though there was a few "09 M coupe" powered BMW's, Corvette's etc.....It seemed to favour FWD (smaller) cars.
However in saying that, I had a conversation with one of the BMW "M" owners, and he stated that last weeks course was more wide open, and the RWD cars seemed to fare better because the course was setup more to his liking.
All in all the event was run professional, and I think the 45 min trip up from Toronto would be worth it. The parking lot is located beside where the Barrie Colts play at the Barrie Molson Centre (south end of Barrie/just off the 400).
Why don't you guys orgainize a cruise up to the event. I have a feeling you guys will like the autocross.
Plan to be there about 08:30-09:00 to check in, and walk the course. All the details are on this link.
Rick, thanks for updated info, looking forward to seeing you and hook on Autocross, i never did but saw last year or 2007 when u guys did friendly Autocross at that municipal airport, i liked it a lot, hopefully will enjoy doing my own car.
I might come may not, as i get off from work around 5-6 Am and straight thru will come down there for Autox, dont know if i would want to wake up that late.
