Had a great ride with Bob today at the track... I must say that's probably the fastest I've ever been around Mosport,,, can't say enough of how the Z06 handles the corners,, and just gobbles up the back straight.
Bob just uses those Pcars as slalom pylons.
Thanks for the ride,,,,,,,
If anyone is not sure if they would enjoy learning to drive their Corvette on the track at Mosport, all you have to do is have a few laps with "Maximum Bob" and you will want to sell your soul and build a track car
It is addictive
Sorry I didn't make it out there yesterday......work got in the way.
I was on the small track at Mosport last year. Big track looks like alot more fun & not quite as hard on tires & brakes. What's the cost to tear this up?

Pricing is $400 for two days, Saturday includes instruction. I think this pricing is impossible to beat as most other lapping days on the big track are $350, $700 for a weekend.
Location: Whitby..... proud member of the East End Posse, looking for an RFE!

"Maximum Bob" Good one, how fitting
You know, when I first saw him on the forum, I just assumed he was another fair weather, Sunday waxer, then I met him and heard about his driving skills
That vid confirmed it...Maximum Bob is one cool guy in my book Many others are here too
that's just @#$%! awesome !!!! , i stopped the video at a few points so i could see the speedometer +220km !!!! , and i think at one point you got to 230-240km
Bob, thanks for the offer of the ride. Hopefully next time.
I didn't realize before you were 'MAXIMUM BOB'
Craig
The only maximum thing I saw on that video was the boiler or the driver!
I am truly humbled at all the comments.
For my mid life crisis I signed up for a few courses with Powell Motorsport and the Bridgestone Racing School. John and Brett had enough patience to help me get a CASC race license. I did a few regional events and then raced in the old Firehawk series in a Camaro for two years with my buddy Paul Mackie. That was in 1990 and then when I got the Z06 I figured it would be neat to try it again. This time it was my son Rob who provided the tutalege. Some of you have met him as an instuctor at Apex and other events. He managed to clear out 20 years of cobwebs and remind me how to get around the track.
Talk about humble. That is how I feel when he takes me around
I really enjoy the Apex days and have met a great group of people, both in vettes and other makes.......even the P cars.
If you want to go for a spin just ask. Its always fun to get others hooked on this crazy game we play.
Thanks again to Steve for posting the video. I think I just had my 15 minutes of fame

Speaking for one of those P car guys that has been passed by Bob, it is a humbling and educational experience to be on track with someone with true racing experience, at a world class track, that is not very forgiving.
