I just wanted to (re)introduce myself under my new (work related) username. Some of you know me already here as Rob01C5 (2002 Quicksilver coupe) but I have just became an official forum vendor and the official sponser of the "Canadian Events" section and wanted to put the word out.
If anyone needs GM parts, please feel free to contact me or Brian Attard here at Addison Chevrolet. We are here to help you all out the best we can.
We are working on some things for the coming months with specials, a car show, discount cards and maybe some group specials. Speaking of group specials, if there are things of interest to you, please notify us so we can try to make things happen.
We can be reached through PM or any of the following...

Congrats on the new vendor status Rob.
Now how about a price on the following please:
part# 12602540 x2 ( rear coolant plugs )
part# 12602544 x1 ( front coolant pipe )
No secret that we order a lot of swag from the other side of the border. If you can offer great service at compeditive prices you have a great chance of capturing a lot of business.
It's very difficult for a Canadian Dealer to make this work when the manufacture believes they can rip our @@shole out. The manufacture sets the prices not the dealer....I have no idea how you fix that!
I believe I've listened to most of reasons, excuses & arguments the manufactuer uses.....my personal favorite is when they spin it that they are protecting their dealers......the 264 that recieved their letter.

Welcome and please read the above, I have spent about 40 grand or so on my Vette on modifications alone over the past few years.
A performance shop on the Queensway has all the parts I bought but I bought everything in the states. Maybe you can show the powers to be this thread.
If the parts were only few percent above what I could get them for in the states I would gladly get them here. The problem is some parts if not most are marked up 40-50% above the same parts in the states.
After shipping, exchange and brokerage fees, and of course taxes I still saved on the average about 15-20%. Something is not right here.

I agree.
I used to have a serious "hook up" with OEM GM parts from the dealer- the parts guy would give me the lowest price possible on most stuff.
He has recently lost his job due to this GM mess and I'd look forward to you filling his shoes. I'd love to tell my Wilson-Niblett story on here (it goes something like this: I'm the parts guy and I have NO CLUE about anything really... but I work at Canada's #1 corvette dealership) but that might ruffle a few feathers. Needless to say you'd be filling a serious gap having a vette guy behind the counter that knows what a Corvette is and what kind of parts and fluids go into them.
Just a note tho: It'd be a MONUMENTAL failure if dozens of guys stopped by looking for a deal and the prices were still WAYYYYYYY more than US prices...
