Default Tire Pressure Sensors

I have a newbie question, were the sensors an option for 01 or were they standard equipment? I can't find anything by scrolling through my options.

Thanks

If you remove them, you will get an annoying warning every time you start your car..

I just added them to my 2004 Z06. I had to turn the computer "on" so it could read them. You can turn the computer "off" if you removed them.
This link shows you how to do it.
