Default GM files for bankruptcy protection

Hopefully this change in management will have minimal impact on the Corvette and Camaro, warranty repairs and parts availability.

It's nice to know we're paying GM $10 billion to cut their direct workforce by more than 1/2.

As a taxpayer and a resident of Ontario I`m wondering if I get screwed twice. Let`s face it, the populace didn`t cause GM`s problems, but we are the ones who pay. If I ran a buisness like the government and GM, I would be ( get this ) bankrupt, were the f$%# is my bailout, oh I`m sorry restructuring funds...I`ll let the government own 12%. for a mere 11.what ever billion.

I could use it to buy a Mc-mansion, put in a swiming pool, vacation in the Caribbean, oh ya have that special building for vettes and friends.
S$%T I could even buy a Chevy dealership, wow a showroom for my vette.

Let`s recap I`m a taxpayer I get hum...let me think... crap I get the bill, not even a kiss first.

This is a direct quote:Company chief executive officer Fritz Henderson
"We will do it right, and we will do it once," he said as he thanked Canadian and U.S. taxpayers for their support.
As the #1 auto company since 1931 you would have thought this was once, thanks to the taxpayers it`s now the second go round.

This is my point of view, not to offend, but the ones who do the screwing get paid.

As for warranties, etc, you know the government will spend more money they don`t have. So for all of us who have or will buy a new chevy, we can all sleep a little easier knowing our vehicles are protected by the government.

Add to that the fact that we get ripped off by GM Canada to the tune of paying a 20% plus premium for the same car.
