Do C6 Rims fit on a C5

A friend of mine just bought a 99 C5 that still has the original wheels and tires. He is looking for an upgrade and is wondering if standard C6 rims fit on a C5. I thought some sort of spacers are required on the rear, but then was wondering if that is only for C6 Z06 rims and tires because they are wider.

Anyone know?

Yes they fit - I had them on my C5 - look at my "Corvette Photos" and you will see them.

Fronts fit perfect - the rears are in-board just a bit - a 1/4" spacer would correct it - I never did use a spacer though as I didn't mind the look.

The tire pressure sensors from a C6 are not compatible with the C5, so you need to swap your TPS's over to the C6 wheels.

Rears need a spacer for a good fit, otherwise you are good to go. The OEM Z06 C6 rims will stick out about an inch. Cheers Indy.
