Patman are you sure about that? I went by on my way home, and they were NOT on sale (Walmart on 27 and HWY 7) do they have different prices in different locations?

Same problem here, stopped in Oakville and it was $35.

This sale should eventually show up in other Walmarts, as I've heard people in other areas of Canada that reported seeing them at this price, so supposedly it's a Canada wide sale. Pennzoil doesn't normally sell this oil in the 4.4L jugs (it's normally sold in 5qt jugs), so for them to produce a bunch like this, they must be gearing up for a big sale. Another thing you can do is ask the auto guys if they've got the jugs stored in the back and just haven't put them out yet.

But if anyone feels like going for a drive, the one by my house has tons of it right now (Winston Churchill and 401)

I was there earlier today and picked up 4 jugs of the stuff. My garage is kinda like a refinery now I think I'm holding onto like 12+ containers of Mobil 1 and the Pennzoil Platinum oil.

Also picked up the mixmiser syringe thing there too and already did the first clutch fluid change. Very easy to do and will definitely replenish the fluid so it always stays new and clean.

Finally found some of the 4.4 L jugs at $21.88. A new Walmart opened in Waterdown today and they had some so I bought 4. Better yet my youngest got a job there so I got an employee discount on top of that.

Default I have an oil refinery in my garage

I stocked up back in June or so with 8 jugs of the PP 5W30, can't remember what I paid for it but around that price in May I guess. I use this oil in my Z and the GF's Suzuki SX4.

I was at the Walmart 2 days ago @ Erin Mills/Burhamthorpe buying regular oil for my Sentra, saw the PP there for $21.88. I wasn't going to do it but seeing how I go through this oil like no tomorrow I emptied the whole shelf they had of the oil in the aisle.

I bought all 10 4.4l jugs they had out (I'm sure they have more in the back) along with the 4 jugs I still have from June puts me in the position of cornering the entire Pennzoil Platinum 5W30 4.4l jug market. Give me more time I'll have the whole worldwide inventory of this oil in my garage. HEHEHEHE!!!!!!!

I understand that oil has no shelf life, hopefully I'm correct.

Tony

No wonder I can't find any in Cobourg. You have it all.

It's got a shelf life of about 10 years so you'll be ok. I'm just about to start using up some 6 or 7 year old oil that I had sitting around actually (putting it in my wife's car)

NAPA Gold, Carquest Premium, K&N or the Fram Extended Guard (also labelled as the Synthetic Oil filter on the box) Stay away from the Fram Toughguard or Extraguard though, those are junk! I'm currently running an Extended Guard filter on my C5.

Those are a good choice too, but try to buy them in bulk (case of 12) from your dealer as they'll often knock the price down by a few bucks per filter.

I was at a Walmart in Massena NY this week and bought 5 jugs of Penzoil Platinum 4.7 liters (5 us qts) for $20 us. Pricing up here now seems to be out of control!

Damn, bought a fram toughguard filter. might have to change the filter again. can it be changed without draining the oil as it sits higher than the bottom of the pan?

Not a problem. You might lose some oil. Just check the level again.

Yep, I buy mine when I'm down in Houston Texas, $16-$20 ( no environmental fees either!) for 4.7 liters! Canadian Tire charges at least double that unless there's a sale!
