Raised garage tracks and Jackshaft opener pics
I had my garage door tracks raised this week and added a jackshaft opener. The opener is the 3800 model and it is really slick...smooth, quiet with an electric deadbolt and slack cable sensor. Also had all of the doors sealed with new weatherstrips all around and 3/4 hp belt drive openers on the other two doors. In the Spring, I'l re-mud the drywall (the builder's taper sucked!), paint and decorate, then get the lift. Enjoy...

Lookin' good SweetC6! Looks just like the one that I am going to get (Direct Lift). I want to get the drywall and paint work done first and it's too cold for that right now, so the lift will have to wait until the Spring.

i always wanted a lift, but how do you guys do any suspension work with a drive on hoist like that ? and having a lift but being unable to do work is pointless ? ( for me at least ), so i thought id rather get a regular type shop hoist, i think you can get electric ones as well, hydraulic or cable.( but its more money and more involved install ) but id like to hear how you guys manage ?

You can get a pro jack that is sold by Direct lift or you can use a bottle jack.http://www.adgforward.com/directlift/pro-jack-3500.htm
